Keeping you in the loop on current policy updates. Just a heads up in case anyone is not fully vaccinated…Regardless, the Health Pass needs to be completed 48 hours prior to flying to CR. They will issue a QR code which you should save on your phone to show at passport control. To fly back to the US they currently (this could change of course) require a negative Antigen test 72 hours prior to travel. Our concierge can set up a testing service to come to the house to administer to everyone; super convenient.

LEAVING COSTA RICA
Most countries have restrictions for returning citizens or foreigners traveling from Costa Rica. Since the large majority of travelers to Costa Rica are from the U.S. those requirements are summarized below.
All U.S. citizens must show proof of a negative viral (antigen or pcr) covid test before boarding a flight to the U.S. Fully vaccinated citizens have 3 days prior to their flight to the U.S.
CHANGES COMING IN JANUARY
On Jan 8, hotels and all other lodging, restaurants, adventure tours, hot springs and other non-essential businesses will begin enforcing a full vaccination requirement for everyone (citizens and foreigners) age 12 and over.
The tourism chamber is continuing to negotiate an exception for foreign children who are not permitted to be vaccinated at home.
There are no changes planned for entry requirements – no test, no vaccine – but travelers will need to be fully vaccinated to stay, eat out or participate in activities.
